Welcome to Scuba in Paradise!

Dive Hilo Dive Club is a scuba club active on the east side of the Big Island of Hawaii. We get together the first Sunday of each month, along with friends and families who participate in all other water sports (snorkel, boogie board, paddle board, kayak, etc…) Post dive we enjoy a pot luck BBQ by the beach.

We welcome any scuba certified divers whether malahini or kama’aina. We typically meet at 9am at Leleiwi Bay aka Wai’olena Beach Park for scuba and then move over to Richardson’s Ocean Park around 10am. Please refer to the message in the sidebar for exact location. Weather doesn’t impact us much… we’ve only been rained out once in three years!

Those not diving focus on the pot luck BBQ and have fun snorkeling, boogie boarding, stand up paddle boarding, or kayaking. The club has no rules or by-laws, no fees or elections. If there’s an issue, we meet to discuss it, otherwise we focus on having fun!

The club doesn’t sell anything, we don’t sponsor classes or take responsibility for divers in any way. This is a social organization. We leave the professional stuff to the Dive Shop!
